Title: Wallops Range Operations Contract (ROC)

Customer: National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)

SRS was responsible for planning and performing diverse UAS missions in support of operations at NASA's Wallops Flight Facility (WFF) on an as needed basis.  Flight operations under this contract included but were not limited to photogrammetric data collection missions for site planning and aerial videography. The overall scope of this contract is to provide WFF operations and maintenance; support services; training; command, control, communications, information and computer systems services; testing, modifying and installing communications and electronic systems at launch facilities, launch control centers and test facilities; and range technology development engineering services.

Title: Employment Advancement Right Now (EARN) Grant

Customer: State of Maryland

SRS provides 4-week Generalist and 1-week First Responder UAS Training courses through the EARN Grant of Maryland.  Students are immersed in the unmanned systems and aviation industry and by the end of the course are prepared to enter a career in UAS or implement UAS technology into their current employment position. Topics discussed in the course include but are not limited to the UAS regulatory environment, applications of UAS, UAS operational safety, airspace coordination, weather and aerodynamics.  Students receive hands-on training with SRS professionals using flight simulators and by participating in Field Days. The EARN Grant is a state-funded, competitive workforce development grant program that is industry-led, regional in focus, and a proven strategy for helping industries cultivate the skilled workforce they need to compete. It is flexible and innovative, designed to ensure that Maryland employers have the talent they need to compete and grow in an ever-changing 21st century economy.
